GeoProc
2008: International Conferences on Coupled T-H-M-C Processes in Geosystems
June 2-6, 2008, Lille, France
GeoProc is the name of serial International Conferences on Coupled T-H-M-C
Processes in Geosystems: Fundamentals, Modelling, Experiments and Applications.
The first conference was held in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2003, and the second one
at the HoHai University, Nanjing China, 2006. The main topic of the GeoProc2008
will cover experimental investigation and modeling of coupled thermal,
hydraulic, mechanical and chemical processes in geological materials,
geotechnical engineering, civil engineering and geological systems. The subject
supports understanding and modeling of the fundamental behaviour of geological
materials and systems in different engineering environments, plus design,
construction and monitoring of geological and geotechnical engineering works in
terms of their engineering performance and impacts on our living environments.

International Congress on Environmental Modelling and Software 2008
July 6-10 2008, Barcelona, Spain
The aim of the congress is to enhance environmental processes by means of
fostering the discussion and interchange of challenges, solutions, ideas, new
methods and techniques, and future research lines in environmental modelling &
software. The congress joins together several interest groups working in
different but complementary features and/or scientific fields in Environmental
Modelling, Assessment, Decision Making and Information Technologies. This time,
the focus will be stressed on Integrating Sciences and Information Technology
for Environmental Assessment and Decision Making.

September
11th baltic sea geotechnical conference
September 15-18, 2008, Gdànsk, Poland
Construction activities, which take place in onshore and offshore conditions are
very often confrontated with geotechnical problems. The geotechnical design in
maritime engineering requires the knowloedge of soil structure interation as
well as the behaviour of different types of soils. The main aim of the 11th
Baltic Sea Geotechnical Conference is to provide a forum for an intensive
tranfer of ideas and experiences with other engineering and research groups.
Significant contribution from industry are encouraged and hence the ultimate aim
is to bring together state-of-the-art research in Geotechnics in maritime
engineering with current industrial experiences. The conference is not limited
only to the countries of the Baltic Sea and partecipants from other regions are
warmly welcomed.

Methods and Advances in Geomechanics
October 1-6, 2008, Goa, India
The 12th IACMAG Conference will address recent developments and relevant
issues in computer methods, constitutive models and applications to different
areas of geomechanics, and emerging and important topics, and future needs,
documented case studies with integration of theory, laboratory and field tests,
and validation procedures. This will be consistent with the continuing theme of
IACMAG conferences and the International Journal of Geomechanics, namely
Fundamentals through Applications. The special theme for the 12th IACMAG
Conference has been chosen as Geomechanics in the Emerging Social &
Technological Age.
